The North Alabama Japanese Garden

This gallery comes from an unexpected window of time during a business trip to Huntsville, Alabama. Unusual weather had moved in, grounding flights and leaving roads nearly empty. With that rare pause, I made my way up to the North Alabama Japanese Garden at Monte Sano State Park. The conditions transformed the space. Fog softened the landscape while ice added texture and weight to every surface. What is typically a place of calm became something quieter and more isolated. These images reflect that moment, shaped as much by circumstance as by intention.
